The students were the true protagonists of the University Fair. They arrived with a genuine thirst for knowledge and a desire to take the next step in their educational journeys. Their enthusiasm and inquisitiveness shone as they approached university representatives, posed insightful questions, and navigated through the various booths. This fair was, after all, about them and their futures, and they certainly lived up to the occasion. In a heartwarming gesture, we welcomed students from the school’s campuses in Via Quadronno and Arona. Students were able to visit your booths and learn about the different summer programs you offer, and we received great feedback from students who said they were inspired and motivated to consider these programs for their own future.

The fair was also a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the many benefits of summer school programs. With a range of subjects available, students were able to explore the programs that interest them and find out more about the skills and knowledge they can gain through these experiences.

We also got the amazing opportunity to give out flyers about our upcoming digital project to attending students and inform them of the fantastic activities ahead!

Our University Counsellor, Natalia, kicked off the events with our “Pathway to University” presentation, which outlines admissions processes for the most famous destinations for international student.

Our amazing tutors were also on site to interact with students and share the experience of studying in Italy and beyond in various faculties.

Overall, we want to thank our university partners, tutors and students who attended the event. A special thank you to the schools who offered us the space to host this event as well as the staff, who collaborated with us every step of the way and was critical for the success of the event.

The Head of our University Division, Natalia, prepared students by the fair by delivering our “Pathway to University” presentation, which goes over the processes for applying to the UK, the US and some of the most popular European destinations such as Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands!

We are very excited to host our fairs and introduce more than 40 of our partner universities to interested students from 8 schools in North Italy.

It is amazing to be able to offer this source of information and knowledge to the students and we will be happy to greet you during the fairs; just come to the TutorYou booth and say hi!

We talked about applications to the UK, The Netherlands, and Spain, going through the application process from start to finish. We wanted to make sure that students know about all the different roads their education could take them on and that they were not limited by geography in pursuing a higher education in the subject of their choice! The students were a great audience and were very attentive throughout the presentation.

We then continued the presentation and talked about the variety of fields students could study at university in Italy. In particular, Medicine, Engineering and Design. Each of these disciplines have a unique application process and being informed of these processes is very helpful to prospective  university Students. TutorYou representatives did a wonderful job in explaining the different aspects that go into choosing a university and how applications differ by country and subject.

We finished the fair by allowing the students talk to some great universities from all around Europe and gain some insight into various universities and get a sense of which one may be more suitable for them. This is a unique opportunity for Italian students as they get the ability to talk to university representatives from abroad and learn information otherwise unaccessible to many Italian students.

The students were very engaged with the university representatives and asked many questions about their universities and courses.

The day followed the same format as Severi. We showed the students a presentation in one of the classrooms telling them exactly how to apply to UK universities by guiding them through all the requirements of an UCAS application. As the presentation was conducted in a classroom to a smaller group of students rather than the 220 students at IIS Severi-Correnti’s auditorium, it felt more intimate and engaging for them.

After the presentation came the undergraduate fair. There were 16 universities in total at the Marcelline fair, many of them were the same universities from the previous day. Here’s a list of the universities that attended:

Once again, a handful of own tutors specializing in an eclectic range of subjects from robotics to philosophy were present to talk to students. Students would talk to our tutors about what they wanted to study at university and our tutors would suggest what they thought would be the best courses at the best universities for that specific student. Our tutors were also there to help the students if there was anything about the application process they did not know. Our tutors are the best people to ask when it comes to the application process as they are all university or gap year students who are very familiar with the requirements of UK and European universities.

We think that both days were huge successes despite being very different in nature. We have to thank all those present at the events as they would not have been possible without them. With any luck next year will be as successful as this year!

TutorYou’s Workshops are aimed at explaining to Italian high school students how the mechanisms and procedures of studying in the UK and EU work. During the workshop out Tutors explain what UCAS is, they talk about their personal experience in a UK University and can provide guidance and support to the students looking to study abroad!

This year TutorYou also decided to invite representatives from various UK and EU Universities, such as; Lancaster University, Hult International Business School, University of Portsmouth, Università Bocconi, New European College and London College of Contemporary Arts. By having representatives of each University the students had the opportunity of asking questions directly to the experts whom also provided extensive guidance on courses and applications. 

Both Workshops were a great success!!!

The students were enthusiastic about receiving information from current University students and representatives from Universities they might be interested in applying to!

In November 2015 we visited a number of Italian High Schools such as the Istituto Leopardi and the Istituto Marcelline, to introduce to their students the English and American education systems. Specifically, our tutors present and explain how the process of and applying to University works, in this way, Italian high school students can learn and expand their horizons into the international University scenery.
